Amman, March 20 (Petra)-President of Businesspeople Association of Jordanian Expatriates' (BAJE) Chairman, Fadi Majali, affirmed the positive progress made in the establishment of a free Jordanian region in Djibouti.

The project, whose details will be revealed soon, will boost Jordanian exports to Africa, which is "a promising and important market", he said in a statement released on Wednesday.

Majali noted the association's board of directors' member in charge of the African relations, Raed Nofal, discussed in Djibouti with the Chairman of the Free Zones Board, Abu Bakr Omar Hadi, procedures necessary to ensure the completion of the project.

Nofal called on the industrial sector and all stakeholders in the development of industrial exports to pay attention to this project "seriously," as it represents an important gateway and opportunity to market Jordanian products in the African market.
