(MENAFN) On Wednesday, three civilians were murdered in artillery shelling by regime forces and Iran-backed groups in Syria's northwestern Idlib province, according to the White Helmets civil defense agency.
The bombarding hit the opposition-held towns of Qalaat al-Madiq and Al-Hwaiz, the group emphasized.
It added that two of the three killed are children.
Regime raids in Idlib's de-escalation zone, in which acts of violence are expressly banned, are believed to have murdered as many as 147 civilians since the beginning of 2019.
