Kuwait wins bronze medals in table tennis, badminton in Special Olympics


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, March 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Special Olympic athletes won Tuesday two bronze medals in the Table Tennis and Badminton competitions, part of the 15th Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019.
Reem Al-Seleem won the bronze in the single badminton event after beating Oman's Najat Al-Yahya.
Meanwhile, Kuwait handball team defeated Iraq 12-4 in Group C.
Hayat Mustafa, president of Kuwait Special Olympics, told KUNA she was proud with achievements of Kuwait's players.
Kuwait's participation in the competitions aimed at boosting experience and confidence.
Kuwait has so far won seven gold medals, seven silver and five bronze. (end) my.bs
