(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, March 19 (KUNA) -- Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz is set to visit Kuwait and United Arab Emirates (UAE) next week.
During his stay in Kuwait, the Chancellor is expected to hold talks with His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and several other senior Kuwaiti officials, Austria's official news agency reported.
Talks will focus on significant common issues and affairs as well as bilateral economic cooperation in the areas of infrastructure, hospitals, power plans and oil refineries, it said.
Kuwait and Austria forged diplomatic relations over 50 years ago.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah had met the Chancellor of Austria during an Arab-EP summit in Egypt's resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh in February.
Austrian Foreign Minister Karen Kniesel had paid an official visit to Kuwait in December. (end) mah.mt
