Azerbaijan Open Dance Championship was held at the Union of Theater Workers on March 17.
The event was co-organized by the Youth Union and the Dance Associations of Azerbaijan with the support of Jam Group, Trend Life reported.
The dance competition wasattended by representatives of Baku, Ganja, Sumgayit, Shaki, Goygol, Mingachevir, Barda, Agjabadi, Aghdam, etc., including foreign guests.
The jury members evaluated the participants in terms of technique, image, composition and choreography. The judging team included: Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan Rimma Mammadova (chairman), Vice president of Azerbaijan Dance Association, teacher at the Academy of Choreography Ulviya Hasanova, head of the choreography department of the Grammar School of Arts at the National Conservatory of Azerbaijan Tahir Eynulayev, lead soloist of Cəngi State Ensemble Farhad Aliyev, lead soloist of the State Military Ensemble Shahriyar Jafarov.
Azerbaijan Open Dance Championship washeld on the following types - cheerleading, hip-hop, break dance, dance show, classical dances, folk dances, stylization of folklore, world dances, oriental dances, Indian (bollywood).
The championship washeld in age categories: younger age group (uptothe age of6), children (uptothe age of 10), teenagers (uptothe age of 16), adults (16 years and older).
Among the winners were Jam SS (leader Inam Bahishev), Crazy Lady (Gunel Novruzova, Zirve (Natavan Musayeva), BlackZone Dance Crew (Rovshan Babaev), İnci (Javid Mammadov), Ayselin Dance Studio ( Aysel Huseynova), Shel Dance Group (Rosa Ismayilova), Buta (Zaur Gasi,ov), The Legend (Yegor Anisimov), Smiles (Irada Veliyeva), Sirdaş (Elmira Mukhtarova), Buta (Zaur Gasimov), Fidan dance group (Gulnara Yagubova), Ertsuloneba (Pavle Tchumburdize) Asiman dance group (Vahid Salimov), Natavan Dance Studio (Natavan Aliyeva), Quba dance group (Sevil Bekbalayeva), Naxış dance group (Narmina Muradova), Graciya Dance Studio ( Nigar Aliyeva), Allegro dance group (Elnur Atayev), Tovuz Xədic М (Arif Mammadrzayev), Signahi dance group (Zaza Pavliashvili), Likuna Jananashvili.
The winners will be able to take on rated international tournaments.
