Brazilian 2019 GDP growth projection demoted


(MENAFN) This year's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth projection in Brazil was demoted by the financial market on Monday.

Brazil's Central Bank revealed the GDP growth forecast to have hit 2.01 percent from the previous 2.28 percent.

However, bank economists were revealed to have maintained their expectation for Brazil's 2020 GDP growth to stand at 2.8 percent.

Analysts also confirmed that the Brazilian inflation index is likely to reach 3.87-3.89 percent this year and 4 percent next year.
