(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) The Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Echchanmkulam Police and a Police Constable (PC) have been arrested.
The Police said that they were arrested for aiding illegal treasure hunting.
On Sunday the Police had arrested several suspects involved in treasure hunting.
Following the arrest it was revealed that the OIC and PC had assisted the treasure hunters.
As a result, the OIC of the Echchanmkulam Police in Vavuniya and the PC were arrested and were to be produced in court today. (Colombo Gazette)
