Novel of Russian writer published in Baku

The novel "Business as Usual" of the Soviet Russian writer Vasily Belov has been published in Azerbaijan.

The book was presented by Khan publishing house in Baku, Day.Az reported.

The work was translated by famous Azerbaijani writer and playwright Elchin Huseynbayli.

The translation of the novel is submitted for the Gizil Kelme (Golden Word) award of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture in the category of literary translation.

The book can be purchased at bookstores in Baku.

Vasily Ivanovich was famous writer, poet and dramatist, who published more than sixty books which were sold (as of 1998) in the amount of seven million copies.

Belov's best known novels include "Business as Usual" (1966), "Eves" (19721987), "Everything's Ahead" (1986) and "The Year of a Major Breakdown" (19891994).
