(MENAFN) Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan announced that Thailand is resuming to tackle human smuggling gangs nationwide.
Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Gen. Kongcheep Tantravanich confirmed that Prawit, who concurrently serves as defense minister, led a gathering of the Committee on Human Trafficking Prevention and Suppression at Government House during which he asserted that government's anti-human smuggling procedures are being conducted.
The spokesman added that the committee saw the plotted revision to an official report on Thailand's procedures against human smuggling gangs which is to be forwarded to the United States early next month.
The authorities will keep battling the human smuggling rackets and rescue and secure victims with respect to the human rights principles.
