Russia in support of Sudan to beat crisis


(MENAFN) Sudanese Presidency said a visiting Russian official has expressed his country's readiness to support the Sudanese people and the leadership to defeat the current crisis.

Russia's deputy foreign minister and special presidential representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov made the remarks during his meeting with Sudanese First Vice-President Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibn Auf in the capital Khartoum.

He said: "Russia, on the basis of the friendship which brings it together with Sudan, will stand by the Sudanese people and its leaderships ... to overcome the current crisis."

"I'm confident in the ability of the leaderships in the country to overcome the economic difficulties," he added.
