The ERC received the donation during a meeting between Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the ERC, and Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman and Managing Director of VPS Healthcare, at the aid authority's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was also attended by Ahmed Mohsen Bujer, Foreigners Attache at the Yemeni Embassy, and several officials from both sides.
The medical appliances included surgical endoscopy devices, as well as diagnostic equipment, to strengthen the capacity of Yemen's health sector, and provide the necessary medical services needed to assist Yemenis.

Dr. Vayalil said that the donation aims to improve humanitarian and health conditions in Yemen, and is in appreciation of the ERC's development role in the country while noting that the group decided to support the ERC's efforts in Yemen, especially the local medical sector.
