Kuwait to participate in OPEC's joint monitoring cmte tom.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait will participate tomorrow (Monday) in the 13th ministerial meeting of the joint monitoring committee of OPEC and non-OPEC members, which will be held in Azerbaijan's capital of Baku, said Oil Minister Khaled Al-Fadhil on Sunday.

In a statement to KUNA, Al-Fadhil said that he will head Kuwait's delegation to the meeting, pointing out that the committee is following up the implementation of OPEC and non-OPEC members participating in the agreement of the supply adjustments to ensure balance in the market.

He added that Saudi Arabia currently chairs the committee, which includes Kuwait, Venezuela and Algeria (OPEC members) and Russia and Oman (non-members).

Last December, OPEC and allies agreed to cut production by 1.2 million barrels per day for the first six months of 2019. (end) osj.haq
