Jordan, U.S. pen health services agreement

(MENAFN) Jordan secured a deal with the United States valued at roughly USD95 million on financing Jordanian family health services.

For the first time ever, the U.S. will be funding the services in direct means via U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Partnership for Health and Family Planning Program.

USAID highlighted the importance of the program, saying that it was a breakthrough between it and the Jordanian government.

USAID Acting Mission Director Ralph Koehring affirmed that "USAID and the Ministry of Health enjoy a longstanding partnership to improve essential service delivery for the people of Jordan. We look forward to working together on this program and building a healthy, productive, and self-reliant future for Jordan."
