Amman, Mar. 15 (Petra) -- Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Abdul Nasser Abul Bassal condemned on Friday as "terrorist act" an attack on Muslim worshipers in the New Zealand city of Christchurch, which left around 40 people killed and others injured.
The minister voiced rejection of assaulting mosques, churches and places of worship, saying terrorism targets holy places and innocent worshippers.
He also dismissed calls for religious conflicts and ignite sectarian strife, urging the halt of hate speech against Islam and Muslims.
