Jordan- Safadi holds talks with officials at Brussels conference, 1st final add

The top diplomat also met with Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir and reviewed efforts to realize solutions to regional crises, foremost of which is the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which the two-state solution, that puts an end to the occupation, ensures the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state on the borders of 4 June, 1967, is the only avenue towards comprehensive peace.

They underscored the brotherly relations, which both Kingdoms work on developing under the auspices of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The minister also discussed Jordan-EU relations with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, in addition to the efforts to resolve the Palestinian issue, as well as Syria.

Further, Safadi and Planning Minister Mary Kawar held a joint meeting with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Mark Lowcock for talks on refugees.

Cooperation between Jordan and Russia to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria topped talks between Safadi and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin. They agreed that the return of the refugees from the Rukban refugee camp was a fundamental solution.

The minister also met with the Australian Deputy Secretary for International Security, Humanitarian and Consular Group Tony Sheehan and discussed bilaterl ties and the latest developments in the region.
