Geneva, March 14, 2019, SPA – The Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations "Rasd Coalition" reported Houthis militia's violations against civilians in Hajour, Hajjah Province, according to SABA news agency.
The agency noted that the Executive Director of the Alliance Mutahar al-Bathaji said in a statement he delivered at the Human Rights Council on the sidelines of the 40th session being held in Geneva that what has been happening for weeks in Hajour area, Hajja province requires the council attention to apprehend the size of the catastrophe and danger of the systematic violations against civilians.
He added, "At this moment, Houthis are barbarically destroying this area, leaving a number of victims among civilians, mainly women, children and aged."
"The militia is besieging the area for banning civilians' relocation at less danger areas, the same scenario the militia has been applying in Taiz for four years and Houthi militia has not respond yet to minimum level of Stockholm Agreement for peace," he said.
He noted that human rights violations have been doubled in Yemen recently as 11267 people have been killed and 23759 others wounded, mainly children and women. He held Houthis militia the responsibility of these violations.
