Doha: Qatar Weather Department warned of fast weather changes in the region during this period, adding that there are chances of cloud cover along with scattered rain on Thursday and Friday.
Though the rain might be mostly light in intensity, it could become thundery at time especially offshore. There might be wind which could cause blowing dust in open areas, especially on Friday.
MET also said that preliminary indicators also show improved rain forecast of variable intensity on March 17, Sunday which could be accompanied by thunder and strong wind.
Meanwhile, in its daily report for today, the department said that it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of light rain at some places at times.
Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of light rain at some places at times, warning of expected thunder rain by afternoon associated with strong wind and high sea, the report added.
Wind inshore will be southeasterly to northeasterly 08 to 18 knot with gusting 22 knot at places.
Offshore, it will be southeasterly to northeasterly 08 to 18 knot, gusting to 30 knot with the thunder rain.
Visibility will be 4 to 08 kilometers.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to feet, rises to 5 feet at times. Offshore, it will be 4 to 6 feet, rises to 9 feet with the thunder rain.
