The national carrier of Qatar will fly more than 20 celebrity chefs from around the globe to Doha to take part in this year's festival, including Nobu Matsuhisa, Masaharu Morimoto, Richard Sandoval, Dominique Ansel of ‘Cronut' fame, as well as many others. These celebrated chefs will contribute to Doha's rich and diverse community by sharing their extraordinary culinary art and cultural flavours with visitors to this year's QIFF.

Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications, Salam Al Shawa, said: 'As the Official Airline Sponsor of the Qatar International Food Festival, we are delighted to be partnering with QIFF on its 10th anniversary, and to be bringing so many Master Chefs from around the world to Doha to take part in this year's festival.

This unique event showcases Qatar's extraordinary diversity, something we as an airline take tremendous pride in. Qatar Airways has also activated a stopover programme for transiting visitors at Hamad International Airport to visit QIFF. We look forward to tasting the many amazing flavours at the festival, and we welcome all visitors and guests to join us at this exciting event.

Rashed Al Qurese of the Qatar National Tourism Council said: 'QIFF has completed ten successful years of introducing Qatar's vibrant multicultural experiences and iconic venues to people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. It has played an instrumental role in our strategy to position Qatar as an attractive destination for authentic and bespoke experiences.

'Thanks to numerous initiatives to enhance visitor access, UNWTO has ranked Qatar as the most open country in the Middle East and the 8th most open country in the world in terms of visa facilitation. This, combined with multiple daily flight options from Qatar Airways and numerous hospitality and dining offers from hotels in and around Doha, offers a great opportunity to visitors from all over the world to come and enjoy the festival as well as other unique experiences Qatar offers.

The 11-day festival, which runs from March 20-30 at Oxygen Park at Education City, will feature more than 150 food stalls, food trucks, a cooking theatre, and food & beverage entrepreneurs, as well as a dedicated kids' zone and cultural activities.
