Oman- Majan Electricity opens RO1.6mn substation in North Batinah


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Majan Electricity Company (MJEC) is working continuously to raise efficiency by expanding its network.

MJEC recently opened the Majaz Primary Substation at a cost of RO1.6mn in North Batinah governorate.

The main objective of the project was to divert load from Al Uwainat and Al Khushda substations. It is considered as one of the most important projects to meet the growing demand for load and add additional capacity to Al Uwainat area.

The construction work has been divided into two parts, the first is the construction of 33/11kV substation for RO1.2mn. The second part is the construction of 13km of underground cable feeders from Al Uwainat Grid station (132/33kV) to Majaz Primary Substation (33/11kV), at a cost of RO400,000.

'We are proud to announce that these projects have been directly supervised by MJEC engineers to ensure commitment to quality standards,' the company stated. Majan Electricity Company is a member of Nama Group that distributes and supplies power in North Batinah, Dhahirah and Buraimi.
