Riyadh, March 12, 2019, SPA -- The Project of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for Demining in Yemen (MASAM), was able to demmine, a total of 15 antiperssonnel mines during the first week of March 2019 , 966 anti tanks mines, 1065 unexploded ordnance, and 49 improvised explosive devices to reach a total 2095 mines during the first week of March, 2019.
It is noteworth that since the start of the project, 48225 mines planted by the Houthi militias in lands, schools and homes in Yemen were demineded. The Houthi militias have attempted to hide them in various forms, colors and methods, which have claimed the lives of many children, women and the elderly, whether by death, serious injury or amputation.
