Saudi- OIC state parties council union executive committee holds meeting in Rabat

Rabat, Mar 11, 2019, SPA -- The executive committee of the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) state parties council union held in Rabat today its 41st meeting.
Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led his country's delegation to the meeting.
The meeting elected Mozambique as vice president representing the African bloc, Pakistan as representative of Asian group and Morocco as next session's rapporteur.
Addressing the meeting, Dr. Fahd bin Homoud Al-Enezi, member of the executive committee and member of the Saudi delegation, underscored the importance of respecting the OIC charter and supporting Islamic world causes and other humanitarian issues.
He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is among the largest donors of Yemen, citing a $17 billion worth of developmental and relief assistance for the country and the needy.
In the same context, the Muslim Females Parliaments Union conference held its 8th session on the sidelines of the OIC executive committee meeting. Lina Al Maeena and Dr. Moodi Al-Khalaf represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the meeting.
Among the meeting's top agenda were the rights of Muslim women and ways of enhancing their role in rolling the development wheel in Muslim societies. Lina and Moodi highlighted the role of women in the Islamic counties as the key to change and development on one hand and the interest of the Kingdom in women affairs as part of the Kingdom's vision 2030 on the other.
