(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Manpower (MoM) has announced via Twitter that it followed up a video clip that showed poor living conditions of some Omani employees in the private sector.
MoM's statement said, 'Referring to the video that has spread through the social media, which showed the living conditions of some Omanis employees in the private sector, the Ministry of Manpower formed a team immediately to follow up the situation and take necessary action.'
MoM affirms that the labour law guarantees the rights and duties of the worker and provides a safe working environment. 'The inspection teams carry out continuous visits to ensure that the private sector establishments adhere to the provisions of the Labour Law and the regulations governing it.'
MoM said that workers'complaints can be submitted via various communication channels provided by the ministry.
