(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- As many as 13,782 Omanis were hired in the private sector in the Governorate of North Batinah in 2018, according to the Ministry of Manpower.
Mahfouz Hamdan al Wahaibi, director general of Manpower at the Directorate in Sohar, said, 'The directorate in coordination with the Public Authority for Manpower Register conducted 576 interviews. We are working according to the strategies of the ministry to accommodate the number of job seekers in the private sector establishments and providing training to those interested in engaging in training courses.'
He added that the North Batinah governorate is witnessing a renaissance through development and projects that will contribute to providing employment opportunities for citizens in various professions. Meanwhile the joint inspection team of the Directorate General of Manpower in North Batinah governorate arrested 2,361 workers for violating labour law and deported 2,095 last year.
