(MENAFN) On Monday, Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani conferred with visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov the latest developments in Syria and Libya.
In a joint press conference, the Qatari high-ranking diplomat stated that political solution in Syria is needed to end the conflict in the war-torn country.
On Libya, the Qatari minister called for all sides in the country to unite, Al Jazeera news channel stated.
Asked about Russian S-400 missile system, he affirmed that there is a debate for the procurement of Russian equipment, without providing additional information.
