ABYAN, 2nd March, 2019 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has revamped and opened an educational facility in Al Wadie' district, Abyan, from which up to 1,200 male and female students in 'Azan area and other adjacent villages in the governorate will benefit.
Dubbed Azan Educational Complex, the facility consists of 12 classrooms that have been fully overhauled and fitted with all the required equipment to meet the needs of 800 students. The complex also incorporates the 'Azan High School where 400 female and male students are learning.
School bags and utensils have been provided as well to the students.
Qasim Abadi, Director-General of Al Wadie' district, hailed the significant human initiatives consistently carried out by ERC to meet the essential needs of the district's people. He has been joined by Ahmed Saleh, Director of Education in the district, in applauding the support provided by the UAE in Yemen.
