(MENAFN) Thousands of demonstrators have rallied in Mexico City following the killing of an environmental activist.
Samir Flores Soberanes, who was also a reporter, received two gunshots to his head in his house in Amilcingo, south of Mexico City, on Wednesday.
The demonstrators carried signs reading "Samir didn't die, the government killed him"; "Samir lives"; and "Justice for Samir".
As the rally kept going through Mexico City, thousands jpined in Amilcingo to lay Flores to rest.
