During the last three days, more than 275 million euros were supplied to the NIMA system by exporters and the Central Bank of Iran to provide foreign exchange for importers.
In April 2018, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) launched NIMA in a bid to address the country's currency needs, boost transparency, create competitiveness among exchange shops and a secure environment for traders.
The non-oil exporters' share of the supplied currency was more than 60 percent, and an average of $100 million of foreign currency each day was supplied for imports, the Central Bank of Iran said in a statement on Wednesday, Trend reports citing the official website of CBI.
On November 21, 2018, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) issued the instructions on return details of the hard currency earned by exporters back to the domestic financial system.
