An event on financing investment projects and enlightening businessmen in various sectors of the economy was held in the Lankaran District, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Economy.
As noted by Samir Humbatov, Deputy Head of Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Azerbaijan, 7.6 million manats of concessional loans have been provided for financing investment projects of businessmen with 9.1 million manats of total worth since early 2019.
The implementation of projects financed with these loans allows for the opening of 270 permanent workplaces.
As part of the business forum, 26 entrepreneurs of the Lankaran Economic Region received 1.3 million manats of concessional loans.
These loans will be directed to the development of animal husbandry, agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, tourism, and other areas.
Overall, 123.5 million manats of concessional loans were provided for financing up to 3,400 investment projects of business entities of the Lankaran Economic Region.
As part of the event held in Lankaran, a citrus orchard farm provided with concessional funds from the Fund, with an area of 108 hectares, was also visited.
So far, 54.1 million manats of concessional loans have been allocated to finance 26 gardening farms and breeding grounds with a total value of 167.4 million manats.
The implementation of these projects allows for the opening of up to 1,800 workplaces.
