Traders To Observe Afternoon Shutdown

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) SRINAGAR — The business community has decided to observe a shutdown on Friday afternoon in the summer capital city's commercial hub Lal Chowk and adjacent areas to protest the wave of mob attacks and harassment on Kashmiri students and people from other walks of life in Jammu and elsewhere in wake of the deadly Pulwama bombing.

The decision was taken during a joint meeting, media reports quoted members of trade bodies as saying.

The traders have been asked to assemble at Lal Chowk after closing their businesses at 3:30 pm , the reports said.

Lal Chowk and its adjacent areas had shut last week to protest the series of attacks on Kashmiris in Jammu and elsewhere.
