(MENAFN) Israeli soldiers have attacked an elementary school in the flashpoint West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron), causing a total of 30 Palestinian students to suffer tear gas inhalation.
Medics informed the Palestinian Wafa news agency that the Israeli soldiers had fired tear gas containers at the students in the school yard on Thursday and that one of the wounded children was in serious condition.
The school principal emphasized that several of settlers had accompanied the Israeli soldiers during the attack.
Israeli forces and settlers frequently launch attacks against Palestinians in the occupied territories.
