KSA, Kuwait to close oil resumption pact in 2019

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is likely to close a deal aimed at continuing the production of oil from the Neutral Zone it shares with Kuwait, announced Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih.

An inquiry on a Saudi-Kuwaiti deal was answered by the energy minister: "we hope in 2019 it will be resolved."

In reference to a potential resolution for this year, the minister assured: "I am confident."
This comes following talks between al-Falih and Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.

Oilfields of the Neutral Zone are expected to see an additional to 500,000 barrels per day of oil production after operations are recommenced.
