Afghanistan: 4 die in militants attack


(MENAFN) Jawzjan provincial government spokesman Farid Aneq declared that four people, with two civilians among them, have died after the Taliban militants stormed a convoy of a private company in the highway linking Jawzjan's provincial capital Shiberghan city to neighboring Mazar-e-Shari, the capital of Balkh province on Wednesday.

The official confirmed that a group of Taliban militants stormed a convoy of a private company early on Wednesday, leaving two civilians dead, clearly both drivers and wounding two more.

The official added that police clashed with the militants and shot them both dead.

However, the militants managed to steal a vehicle of the private company to an unidentified location, according to Aneq.
