Jordan condemns Cairo terror blast

Amman, Feb. 19 (Petra) -- Jordan on Tuesday condemned a terrorist bombing that claimed the lives of two policemen and injured three others in Cairo in Egypt on Monday.

State Minister for Media Affairs, Jumana Ghunaimat, denounced the attack which was carried out by a terrorist who had been already wanted by the police, stressing that Jordan will always stand by Egypt in its counterterror efforts.

She emphasized that such terrorist acts require closer and concerted international effort. Ghunaimat, who is also the government spokesperson, expressed Jordan's condolences to the Egyptian government, people of Egypt and to the families of victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
