Saudi Crown Prince to meet Indian PM


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman continues his Asian tour today with a two-day visit to India.

The kingdom's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence will hold bilateral discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, building on former meeting in Riyadh in in April 2016.

There are 2.7 million Indian expats in Saudi Arabia, according to the latest figures. In addition, Saudi Arabia eases 175,000 Indians making their Hajj pilgrimage every year.

The announcement from India's Ministry of External Affairs affirmed, "In recent years, there has been significant progress in bilateral cooperation in key areas of mutual interest, including energy security, trade, investment, infrastructure, defence and security".
