Mongolia set for training on disaster preparedness, response


(MENAFN) Mongolia is scheduled for April 24-26 to launch a massive training on disaster preparedness and response in Ulaanbaatar.

The news was announced by deputy head of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Batmunkh Uuganbayar while addressing a news conference on Monday.

The deputy head affirmed that "natural disasters pose a common challenge to many countries in the world. People must be made aware of what natural disasters they are likely to face in their own communities."

According to Uuganbayar, the purpose behind the program is raising public awareness on disaster attentiveness and response.
