A Kabul teen girl detained for armed robbery

KABUL: A teenage girl is in custody in connection to a pair of violence robbery in Kabul, the capital city.

Kabul Police on Sunday detained a teenage girl in Traffic Square in 4th Police District, she caught red handed in an armed robbery to steal mobile and money of a man, Kabul Police Press Office said in a statement sent to Afghanistan Times.

'She arrested while attempting to filch money and mobile of man in a violent manner,' the statement added. 'She threatened the man with pistol when he showed resistance.'

In a separate maneuver, the police arrested two teenage boys who tried to steal a handbag of a woman in Darulaman area of Kabul PD 6th on Saturday.

The arrested robbers said they wanted to snatch a woman's handbag while riding a motorbike, the statement added. 'Police detained them before committing robbery.'
