Turkish charity provides 1,000 Afghani families with food aid

(MENAFN) Turkey's state-run aid agency distributed food assistance to 1,000 families in northern Afghanistan.

In a statement, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) affirmed that the food packages included flour, rice, oil, tea, granulated sugar, tomato paste, kidney beans and salt for families living in tents and schools.

The families took refuge in the northern Cuzcan province after escaping their hoses in Faryab and Sar-e Pol provinces because of fights and adverse seasonal circumstances.

Formed in 1992, Turkey's government-run aid agency is responsible for implementing Turkey's growing cooperation policies overseas.
