Forbidden City to extend opening hours for first time


(MENAFN) Palace Museum, or Forbidden City, will keep its opening hours to the evening for the first time on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20 in honor of this year's Lantern Festival, according to its curator.

Shan Jixiang, the museum curator declared that the museum will show some of the most popular ancient Chinese paintings on its city walls during that time.

Tickets to the Feb. 19 tour have all been taken once revealed on Sunday afternoon.

The museum website confirmed that tickets to the tour on the following day will be open for booking on Monday.
