Only companies can apply for drone permit in Oman: PACA


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has announced via its Twitter account that only companies will be allowed to apply for a drone permit in Oman.

To get permission, applicants have to fill an application form AWRO33 and get a No Objection Certificate from the ROP, National Survey Authority (NSA) and the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).

PACA explained that the permit is given by the respective bodies based on the purpose of use. 'Those applying for photography purposes, NSA will be the agency for coordinating with the concerned military apparatus. The Ministry of Information will be responsible for granting permits for the purpose of film production. 'Following approvals, the applicants will have to pay a fee. They will then be briefed on the regulations of using drone.'
