Iran surges 36 percent in exports to Russia


(MENAFN) Iran witnessed a 36 percent jump in its exports to Russia last year, standing at USD533 million from the figure registered a year earlier.

Iranian commercial attache in Russia Farhad Parand unveiled pistachio, raisins, dates and apples to be among the key exports to Russia.

Cucumbers, tomatoes, fish, shrimp, milk, cheese, tea, kiwi fruit and cabbage have also been exported to Russia in large amounts, the commercial attache noted.

Parand further added that both Iran and Russia increased 2-percent in their bilateral trade for last year, reaching USD1.74 billion.
