Kenya summons ambassador to Somalia over oil blocks sale

(MENAFN) Kenyan Ambassador to Somalia Lucas Tumbo was summoned back to his country following a sale Somalia launched of oil blocs located in areas Nairobi seized.

Kenya recalled its ambassador late Saturday in order to hold talks following an auction of oil and gas blocks in conflicted areas.

Somalia, the envoy stressed, "carelessly" dismissed principles adopted worldwide on boundary conflicts along with political and diplomatic challenges.

Through the move, Kamau added, Somalia indicated its lack of acceptance for political development and diplomatic stance of a proper government.
