Qatar- QCS attends workshop on Engineered Immune Cells in Cancer Immunotherapy

Doha: Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) participated in Qatar's first ‘International Workshop on Engineered Immune Cells in Cancer Immunotherapy (EICCI)', which took place on February 15 and 16, 2019 at Sidra Medicine in Doha.

This workshop organised by Sidra Medical Center in cooperation with the National Center for Cancer Treatment and Research and the Qatar National Fund for Scientific Research, and brought together worldwide experts in immunology, oncology, hematology, gene and cell therapy while unveiling breakthrough technologies to implement the efficacy and manufacturing of cell therapies.

Dr Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of QCS, stressed the importance of keeping up with QCS for international experiences and expertise and taking every opportunity to develop its programs and future plans, through participation in all and events inside and outside Qatar.

QCS also participated in the scientific committee to organise the workshop through Dr Hadi Mohammed Abu Rashid, Head of Professional Development and Scientific Research Department.
