Jordan: violence kills 1, wounds 6

(MENAFN) Jordan's Public Security Department Spokesperson Amer Sartawi declared that one Jordanian has died as six more, with four security forces personnel among them, were wounded in violence in Ajloun, northwest of Amman.

A police patrol in Ajloun blocked a vehicle for routine check, as the officers requested two people inside the vehicles to reveal their IDs, however, they refused and began to resist the police unit.

The two contacted their relatives in the area and several emerged at the site to abuse the police patrol, which triggered the security forces to use tear gas to separate the crowds.

The forces nabbed the two suspects and shifted them to a nearby police station.
