KABUL: The China Ambassador to Afghanistan, Liu Jinsong met
with former President Hamid Karzai, where both sides exchanged thoughts on the
Afghani issues. During meeting, Karzai sent Lunar New Year greetings to the
Chinese people and wished them a prosperous year.
Having recently learned of the scale of Chinese outbound
tourism after watching the CGTN report on the Spring Festival travel rush,
Karzai looks forward to seeing a great many Chinese tourists in Afghanistan
after the country finally achieves peace, Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan wrote
in its twitter account.
Ambassador Liu wished Karzai a happy Chinese New Year on
behalf of the Chinese leadership and thanked him for his attention to
China-Afghanistan relations. Liu hopes for more progress in the Afghan peace
process in 2019.
