Lebanon's Hariri says new gov't to shield sovereignty

(MENAFN) The Lebanese sovereignty will be safeguarded by the new cabinet, affirmed Lebanon's Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Tuesday.

Addressing a parliamentary session, the Lebanese prime minister stressed that the new government will also work on taking back control of the country's seized territories.

According to the prime minister, "we will not spare any efforts in protecting our country against the enemy who is looking to exploit our natural resources and wealth."

Hariri added, in reference to the Lebanese economy, that "it is the responsibility of all parties to undertake the necessary reforms in a bid not to waste the opportunity that we have today."
