Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Qatar Autism Society to support and empower people with autism disorder and exchange experiences and information to enhance humanitarian, research and scientific cooperation between the two sides.
The agreement was signed by Mohamed Rashid Al Kaabi, assistant to the CEO in the Communication and Resource Development Sector at Qatar Charity, and Mohammed Faisal Hasan, director general of the Qatar Autism Society.
According to the agreement, the two parties agreed to add the Qatar Autism Society within Qatar Charity's general collection programme and collect donations for the projects and programmes of the Qatar Autism Society.
The two sides also agreed to coordinate and cooperate in the field of organizing programmes, activities, seminars, workshops and lectures, conducting research and studies, and publishing periodicals related to charitable work.
Mohamed Rashid Al Kaabi said: 'We believe in the importance of building partnerships with relevant organizations and institutions in the field of our work, as it is important to play complementary roles.
He also expressed his pleasure over that Qatar Charity is a partner of the Qatar Autism Society by contributing to all community initiatives aimed at enhancing expertise in the field of autism spectrum disorders and supporting the activities and projects of the Qatar Autism Society to help it play the role assigned to it.
Mohammed Faisal Hassan, Director-General of the Qatar Autism Society, said he was pleased with signing the agreement with Qatar Charity, hoping that the support for the society would continue to enable it to reach all families in the country.
