Oman's OOMCO targets KSA, Tanzania for development

(MENAFN) Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) is looking at Saudi Arabia and Tanzania as destinations for its development plans.

CEO of OOMCO David Kalife announced that "we have decided to start our plan in neighboring countries due to their significant similarities to the Omani market, particularly in business and consumers."

KUNA reported the CEO as saying that "currently there is a major growth in Tanzania, especially in the number of vehicles, in addition to its economic and political stability."

Kalife further added that the Omani firm is targeting strengthening the status of the country overseas to become one of the best five fuel markets within the region by 2025.

He added that the company "also plans to acquire 40 percent of Omani market share, increase lubricants distribution, and expand its fuel service stations across the Sultanate."
