UAE- Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak honoured with '101 Ideas Award'

ABU DHABI, 11th February, 2019 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), was honoured with the "101 Ideas: This is how we celebrate the Year of Zayed Award" which is sponsored by the private department of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Private Department of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan and Chairman of the Wajib Volunteering Association, announced, during a celebration held yesterday, Sheikha Fatima's first place in the award, which is due to her key role and the words of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who said, "Sheikha Fatima succeeded in grasping my goals and ideas, and she transformed these ideas into successful experiences in all areas."

Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed thanked the wise leadership, headed by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

A film, titled "And We Will Never Be Able To," was later presented, which expressed that the country will never be able to give Sheikh Zayed enough credit. The film was followed by a song that was written and performed by poets Ahmed Al Zarouni and Mohammed Al Badi, and the performance by the female students of the Salma Al Ansaryia School.

Sheikh Khalifa then honoured Sheikha Fatima with the first place award, which was received by Noura Al Suwaidi, Director of the GWU.

The event's sponsors were also honoured, with the participation of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Second Deputy Chairman of the Wajib Volunteering Association, and Mansour Ishaq Sulaiman, Director-General of the 101 Ideas Initiative, along with several of the 100 initiatives submitted by institutions and individuals from Arab and other countries, such s Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and India.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed toured the award's accompanying exhibition showcasing 50 leading initiatives at the Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
