(MENAFN) Poisonous alcohol has killed about 100 people in northern India, with dozens remaining in hospitals, as at least 200 people have been arrested in a police raid.
Over 90 people have been pronounced dead in Saharanpur and Haridwar, nearby districts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand states, after drinking the methanol-laced brew on Thursday.
Eight others victims were recorded in a second incident accusing tainted liquor in Kushinagar,
The fatality number has been put at 72 on Saturday.
