(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman launched Sunday "Al-Ula Vision," an initiative aimed at transforming the northwestern Al-Ula province into a world heritage destination.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of Culture and Governor of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula, Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan said that Al-Ula is eager to offer its cultural and historical treasures to the world.
The Royal Commission for Al-Ula will be developing several key towns in area to receive visitors from around the globe, affirmed Prince Bader who indicated that Saudi authorities were eager to preserve the history of the province and help promote it to the world.
The Al-Ula Vision included a ceremony launching the Sharaan Natural Reserve. The ceremony also announced the Sharaan Resort, a hotel carved into mountain offering topnotch services and a spectacular view.
Al-Ula Vision will focus on involving the province local populace by offering 2,500 opportunities.
An announcement was made by the Royal commission of Al-Ula to launch an international fund to protect endangered species of the Arabian Leopard as part of the vision. (end) mdm.gta
